Would like to paint with visitors. Late Spring, Summer and early Fall are good times to visit. Fall color is usually quite brilliant. Fly fishing, camping and hiking are big recreations in the Pisgah Forest; I love flyfishing and hike on Mondays- both activities are open to visitors.

I strive for a 'contemporary impressionism'- clearly identifiable subject matter rendered with loose brushwork and exuberant color.  My goal is to use these principles of suggestion and color to depict beautiful scenes and subjects as they catch my eye and imagination.  I often paint 'en plein air.'

I studied at the Crealde School of Art, the Lyme Academy of Art, and in Scott Christensen's intensive course.
